REMINDERS:
- DO NOT PLAY ON ANY FIELD THAT IS MARKS RED/CLOSED ON THE COUNTY WEBSITE
- BATS: ALL BATS MUST be marked for USASoftball (or ASA), be rated 1.20, and not be on the USASoftball list of banned bats. Bats without markings, with other markings (i.e., USSA, NSA, ISA), or not rated 1.20 may not be used in this league. A player found to be using an illegal bat will be called out and ejected from the game. He must then sit out the next scheduled game.
- A PLAYER WHO TOUCHES HOME PLATE IS ALWAYS OUT. THIS INCLUDES ANY DEADBALL SITUATION. The runner is out. The one, and only, exception is if a baserunner touches the actual home plate after a batted ball goes over the fence (for a HR).
- RULE CLARIFICATION - The defensive team must always touch the actual home plate to record an out. Tagging the runner is NOT allowed. If the defensive team attempts to tag the runner, the runner is automatically safe. The strike-zone mat is not considered part of the actual home plate for the purposes of recording an out. The defensive player having a portion of his foot on the strike-zone mat does not negate the recorded out IF the foot also touches the actual home plate.
